Casey’s General Store – 6th & Wisconsin St., Lawrence, KS

SBB was hired as the civil engineering consultant for Casey’s General Store to re-develop the southwest corner of 6th Street and Wisconsin. The project consisted of private civil/site development plans and a public improvement set of plans. We worked through multiple site plan options to get all parties involved to agree on drive locations, shared drive locations, and site layout. The project eliminates three access points on 6th Street and reconstructs one existing access point to 6th Street with the addition of a right turn lane. The public improvement plans for the project include public storm sewer, public sanitary sewer extension, water main relocation, right turn lane on 6th Street to commercial drive entrance, and a traffic signal at 6th Street & Wisconsin Street.
